      Extended range of Sky Wireless

Hi Everyone, I would appreciate an idiots guide to extending the range of my Sagem Sky Router. I have just switched from BT although I had a Belkin N+ router. Nothing has changed apart from my router and service provider but now I cant seem to get a connection downstairs for my wife's laptop or my ipad.

We live in a 2 story house and the router is pretty much in the middle of the house. Shall I go back to BT or am I missing a trick? I hear things such as extenders, repeaters and piggy backing... but I dont know what to do or buy.

Any help really appreciated but it would need to be idiot proof :-)

      Thanks for stopping by.

try changing the mode of the router to 802.11b only
      http://192.168.0.1/
      username admin pw - sky

click on set up drop down for mode to 802.11b only then apply.
usually gives better range and signal
also on the same pge try changing the channel 11 and 13 are usually good
      i work for sky........
