      Repeater Issue

      Hey Guys

Im currently using the Sky V2 Netgear router and im having some issues trying to get a connection to my sons room for his XB360.
Im trying to setup a repeater (TP-Link TL-WA701nd) to broaden the connection range but seem to be puzzled with it.

Everything on the TP-Link seems fine according to the instruction manual however the Sky Netgear router doesnt seem to be sending a wireless signal out to it.

Does anyone have any ideas whats up here? or what my setting on the Netgear should be?

This will only work if you connect the Sky router and repeater via an ethernet cable.

      Re: Repeater Issue

Have you changed the TP's address to be in the same range as the Sky router, eg 192.168.0.254.

I would say, I don't think this will work too well with an Xbox, these are bad enough when connected direct to the Sky wireless modem. Homeplugs would be a better solution.

      Re: Repeater Issue

I take it the Sky Netgear router sucks if this can only be done via cat5?

Could this be bridged or can someone suggest a good firmware that will allow this to be done wirelessly.
