      I dont really care what it called.......lol
      It works for me. I had a friend who's work is computers remotely log on to mine to try and fix the problem, he found no reason why it shouldn't work and that was what he advised.

      When I was then set up the wireless connection, no I dont connect via the sky router, I connect via my old router.

      Have you or have you not updated the driver from the card manufacturers website to one which supports WPA/WPA2? Is your old router using WPA?

      Yes I tried to update my wireless card and it said there were no updates available and that it was up to date.

      Its strange how all other products in the house including games consoles had no problem, only that 1 laptop, never mind, these things are sent to try us lol.

      9 times out of 10 Windows will tell you that, the only way to check is through the laptop or manufacturers' website. I am pretty sure even when Windows 'searches on line' it only looks at the MS data base and it is not always up to date.
