Adding External Wireless Cameras to Sky/Netgear Router

      Hi,

I apologise in advance if this is a stupid question from a not so computer literate oldy.

My sky/netgear router is working fine and I can use it with the four computers linked to it. One is via the yellow lead and is plugged direct into my my desktop. The other three computers are linked via WIFI.

I wish to use at least two outdoor cameras for viewing birdlife in my garden (not inside nests) and wondered if it is a simple job to link them via the sky/netgear router so I can view on all computers.

If this can be done I would appreciate help has to how I can do it; and also, a recommendation on the cheapest cameras I can buy and achieve my aims.

      Thanks in advance.

      Ed

Not sure tbh. The only wireless cameras I have looked at have operated at a certain frequency with a base station obviously running at the same frequency.
To do what you want to do would need cameras that run on the same wireless frequency as your router and are ip addressable.
If such things exist, I havnt time to google it now, then it should work.
