Adding wireless access point to DG934G

I have the sky Netgear DG934G (BLACK) router modem. I want to incorporate a wireless access point upstairs in order to bolster the signal. But if my reckoning is right i would have to link 1 access point to the router via ethernet cable and then put a 2nd upstairs because the router doesnt support repeater mode. I would appreciate input so that i get all the facts right before making any decisions.

      Thanks

      Robert

The easiest way to do this would be by using a couple of homeplugs and getting the one of them that is for upstairs with a wifi access point on it, no need for a wire.

You can also move it around to get the signal in just the right area required, you can also just use a normal homeplug for any fixed equipment like desktop PCs or games consoles as this will work much better that wireless.

Here's an example of the homeplug with WIFI:-

Re: Adding wireless access point to DG934G

I realize that this thread is already 2 years old, but I have the same question / problem.

I want to use a Netgear DGN2000 as point-to-point / repeater from upstairs to downstairs picking up the SKY router signal and boost it.

NOW the last answer was pretty poor you have to admit...... Move the bin and the computer out of the way and get a better signal......

I would like to know where in the Sky Modem Netgear DG934G setup (192.168.0.1) I can set a point to point service. I have not been able to find anything.
Do I need a software upgrade?

      Try this thread instead:

Download and read the attached document.

Connecting the Sky router with another via WiFi is not possible.
