      Replacement for Netstumbler ?

Hi, I recently found another utility for surveying wireless channel usage.
It's called inSSIDer available from this link :
      inSSIDer | MetaGeek
There's a table option to list details like Netstumbler, but the main window is a nice clear graphical display of current channel usage and signal strength.
There are radio buttons to select 2.4/5Ghz channels for those with equipment that supports it.
Note: inSSIDer requires Microsoft .NET Framework v2 installing.
      Regards
      Alex

Nice find, some adapters have problems with Netstumbler, this doesn't seem to.
I am a bit confused by the first 3 channels shown on the screen shot though

      Re: Replacement for Netstumbler ?

      Yes, a bit confusing.
Both the network table and the signal-strength/time graph on the left show both 2.4/5Ghz networks discovered.
The 2.4 & 5Ghz buttons just change the signal-strength/channel graph display on the right for the channels used for that band.ie 1-13 & 36-165
      I've double-checked this with a 5Ghz access point.
Using this program in a block of apartments near an office block should be fun !
Anyone know of a netbook with a 24" screen ?
