    This is a discussion on Netstumbler within the Wireless / Adapters forums, part of the Sky Broadband help category; i just installed netstumbler and iv got no idea how to use it. I get this...

      i just installed netstumbler and iv got no idea how to use it. I get this

      See that rather glaring Yellow tri angle at the bottom of the screen image?
      Says Adaptor Not present should give you a clue.....Do you have a wireless adaptor installed and configured?
      Read the Help file as helps too.

      yes i have a wireless USB and its in and i still get that message

      I think you have to click Device at the top and see if your adapter is there

      I click on Devices but it says unknowan device (Unsupported)

      ok im using Vistumbler but the other persons router that is interfering with me is on channel 7 thats inbetween 1 and 13 so what way do i go

      Try 13, if that doesn't improve things then try 1, and then every other channel unit you find the one that works best.

      Better still throw the wireless out of the window and buy a couple of homeplugs.

      I find WirelessNetView a lot simpler to understand.
      WirelessNetView - Monitor wireless networks on your area
