      Connection dropping while upstairs

Hi. I seem to have a problem with my wireless connection when i take my laptop upstairs. When i am downstairs the connection is fine, i don't think it's ever disconnected once. But when i take it upstairs, although i'm reading a full 5 bars of signal strength, the connection drops and every 5 minutes i have to reconnect over and over again.

Anyone have any suggestions of what the problem is? The laptop is only a couple of months old, and is a good Acer one. My router is the Sagem. I am on the Max package with good stats, and when i do have a connection upstairs i still get good speedtest results. It's blummin annoying!

      Thanks guys.

Have you tried changing the wireless settings? Under router set up wireless settings change to channel 11 and see if that helps?

You could buy a couple of homeplugs, one with a wireless extender on it and extend the range of the wireless where you need it.
