Get rid of wireless and use a couple of homeplugs

Failing that you could get a USB cable and move the dongle around to try to find the best place, you could also try changing the channel on the router, start at 13 and work your way down.

not really sure what these homeplugs are do i just plug them into a wall socket and thats that or do i need a phone line plug sort of thing - kinda looking for a more cheaper option than spend 50 on a homeplug

Have you tried changing the channel in use on the router?

Just plug one into a socket near the router and one into a socket near the computer and away you go.

Faster speeds, no wireless interference, better security, better latency, no need for a wireless manager running on the PC, no drivers needed and less chance of a brain tumor

      Much better for gaming also.

45 is about right for a pair of Solwise 85mb turbo with postage on e-bay.
