Which wireless usb adapter to buy?

My mum is getting Sky Broadband activated on 31st January 2009, so I need to purchase for her a wireless adapter for her computer.

She wants it to be usb, and the computer will be in a room which is about 20 metres away through one brick wall from where the router will be placed.

Can anyone recommend me a decent usb adapter to buy for around 20?

Re: Which wireless usb adapter to buy?

I have one of these-Linksys I was amazed at what it can do. It receives through a 2 foot thick stone wall, 6" stud partition and a 9" brick wall. I had to move one of my PCs into a back room during decoration and bought it just to see if it would work. Not terribly fast, but it works! It has the advantage of being on a USB cable which gives you a bit of flexibility in finding the best signal. Linsksys' mother company is Cisco, who are probably the best supplies of network gear around.

I would still recommend powerline adapters over wireless for reliability and speed.

I would also recommend the Netgear WG111T 108Mbps Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter, i've using one of these and touch wood no problems, this also goes through a brick wall.
