      wireless card will not connect

I am having problems getting my second computer (running XP) to connect to my sky Router, (connected to computer running vista). Put in a Belkin wireless card, but would only connect for 10 min then drop out.Have tried changing channel nos in router, but now all it is doing is trying to connect and saying "Acquiring network address" Then not connecting. Have two computers side by side, so distance is not the problem, also can still connent PSP via the sky router, so that ok.
Help please, as what ever little hair i have left is about to be pulled out!!!!!!!

What software are you using to manage your wifi connections? I prefer the Windows manager - but the important point is to never use a mixture of the Windows manager and the wifi dongles software manager as supplied by the manufacturer (just use the drivers).

If it's possible I always connect by LAN cable.

Re: wireless card will not connect

See if it works when you turn off wireless security in the router temporarily -- then look at how you've set up the wireless adapter's security passphrase on the first machine and try to do the same on the Belkin.
