I do not think it is possible to connect a WAP to the DG834G wirelessly. The Sky firmware does not support this. It may be possible with non-Sky firmware, but I do not know for certain.

You could connect to the Sky router with and ethernet cable and use the wireless abilities of the WAP. Unless you used a long ethernet cable to place the WAP where you want it, it may be no better than the Sky router.

Re: Help connecting access point to router via wireless

Your easiest solution would be to use your old router. It is fairly easy to set this up to connect to Sky. At the moment there have been no reports of anyone being penalized for using their own router. While using it, you will not receive support from Sky, but if you do need support you can always plug in the Sky router. There are threads dealing with using your own router in the Technical section of the Forum.

The alternate is to set up a Homeplug Network This will give you far better results than wireless, especially for gaming.
