      Belkin wireless G router

      Hello,

Can someone please tell me if this wireless router will be ok to use as a wirless access point plugged into my Sky Netgear DG934G router.

      Belkin : Wireless G Router

I don't want to break my TOS and this little piece of kit seems to be the solution to my problem (poor wireless signal).

      TIA.

      Jo.

It will be OK, just plug it in to one of the ethernet ports on the Sky router. I do not think it will connect wirelessly with the Sky router, if that is what you were hoping for.

      Re: Belkin wireless G router

      Thank you for your reply.

I wasn't planning on connecting the two wirelessly but it would be nice if I could, I'm hoping the Belkin gives a better wireless signal than the Netgear and I will be able to put them side by side on the same shelf, if not the Belkin will have to go upstairs and the Netgear downstairs connected together with an ethernet cable.

I've just set this Belkin router up for a friend on Virgin and the wireless signal was excellent so I'm hoping for the same :-).

BTW, will I need to turn wireless off in the Sky Netgear router ?

      Thanks again.

If you are using them close together it would be better off, but if it is upstairs, then you could try with it on. It is probably advisable to put them on different channels. Experimenting is probably the best way to find out what is best.
