Entering network key on netgear smart wizard

      Hello,

Basically we have the sagem router, me and my brother use the WG111T wireless usb adapters to connect wirelessly to it. But for some reason when were trying to enter the network key on the netgear smart wizard page it doesn't allow us to enter most of the letters. I have managed to use windows to connect to the internet but my brother hasn't had the same luck.

Its asking us for a WEP key, when I insert my network key it only comes up with a few of the letters I just typed. I've tryed typing in capitals with no luck.

I understand I need to type in a WPA-PSK security protocol but theres no option to use this on the negear wizard.

      thanks in advance

Re: Enterting network key on netgear smart wizard

If you are using XP Sp2 or Vista there is no need to use the Netgear software. You only need to install the drivers. You can get them from HERE Windows will then handle the wireless management. I would advise uninstalling everything connected with Netgear, then re-install using the drivers only. When this is installed Windows will pop up and tell you a network has been detected and allow you to put in the settings to connect to it.
