I have had sky+ for a week now and the broadband activated on the 6th October. I have a problem connecting to the internet through the router. My laptop sees the wireless router immediately but won't even load my homepage when i run the browser(firefox). It invariably comes up with an error every time. I have an unsecured network around my house somewhere and can surf the net using this network at any time, so the problem seems to be with the router and not my laptop. Please help.

Re: router problems
Have a look at the wireless security passphrase printed on the router label (Sky calls it Network Key on some routers) and apply that to your computer's wireless adapter user interface, WPA security type section.
If that doesn't work, turn off wireless security in the Sky router (see tutorials on this site or help files on Sky CD for how to access the router's user interface). If you can then connect wirelessly, the issue is probably still with encryption and your choice of security type.
Read the tutorials here and you should eventually be able to set up a secured connection.
