NetGear WG111 probs with Sky broadband

Hi there

I am a technophobe so please bear with me.

I changed to Sky broadband last week (active date 23/09) and with it received a new wireless router box - black Sky one.

We connect to the wireless through a NetGear WG111 v3 USB adaptor. When i first connected, it seemed to work, but from the weekend the we are unable to connect to the internet. The adaptor saying it has a connection to the router but when we open up IE it doesn't find a page. If i try to connect to the router using the yellow cable it works fine, it's just when i try the wireless. I have tried changing the channel to 6 as i read that somewhere, but that hasnt changed anything!

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards
Steve

Go into the router wireless settings and disable the Security. See if it will connect.

Go into the router settings to the same part where you changed the channel. Just below you will see the Security options. Select the button next to 'Disable' to turn off the Security.
