Your upload indicates that you are on Connect, BT's ADSLMax, not a Sky LLU package. This takes 10 days for the line to train to it's final stable speed, which is a bit of a bind. At least you have the consolation of knowing you are on the correct package, many users have been put on the wrong packeage when they were supposed to be on Connect. That can take weeks to sort out.

If you were not aware you were going on Connect you should check what you are being charged right away. The full cost of this is £17, but you may be on a discounted £5 charge if your exchange is due to be updated soon.

I'll wait and see wha happens with the training period, It's so far been stable connection wise, but not speed wise asexpected, gone from 300k to 6mb. I thiink my line can safely support 4.5mb

A standard flat telephone extension of 10Ms will, but not if it is a quality RJ11 cable.
