      unless it's a design feature, it should stay on once set.

      It may be a power saving feature, the WIFI will use a lot of power and laptops are designed to run off the battery therefor you may have a setting somewhere in either the device hardware settings, BIOS or power management that tells it to set to OFF when PC resets or powers off.

      It may also be a safety feature, Laptops are often used in public places, so if you forget the wireless is on you could be open to hacking.

      Thanks for the replies. It's still doing it so I'm going to look on thier website as my other daughter has a Fujitsu laptop & hers doesn't do it, hers is constantly on.
