      Netgear Router 'Wireless' Reset Itself?

I have had no problems what so ever with my wireless for months.
This morning i could not connect using the wireless on my pc or on my sons laptop. All three lights were green on the router.
I brought the laptop downstairs to the router and connected it via ethernet cable,it connected no problems.
When i went in to the router stats the wireless password and the channel had reset itself to the original settings that the router had been set to by sky.
What causes this? and could the router be faulty.

Re: Netgear Router 'Wireless' Reset Itself?

Anyone pressed the reset button in at the back of they unit without saying anything? We have seen a few routers reset themselves but not many when you think of how many V2 routers are out there (I only know of a handful that have mis-behaved).

Re: Netgear Router 'Wireless' Reset Itself?

There have been 1 or 2 reports of this happening, but nobody seems to know the reason. Do you have Remote Management turned off in the router? That would seem to be one way it could be done.
