Setting up ... Confused

Had a look around and not really been able to find decent answers to my problem...

My ethernet ports work, all cables work, router is fine etc.

The necessary lights on the router are all green and static, and I'm currently accessing the internet through the sky router wirelessly on a laptop, so I know the connection to the internet is there.

I keep getting the 'Local Area Connection cable unplugged' popup on my PC though and cannot figure out what to do. I've tried it with both my ethernet ports but nothing.

I know I haven't explained it fantastically so let me know what other information you need... I'll be very grateful for any help.

Re: Setting up ... Confused

Are you asking how to turn off the pop up when no ethernet is plugged into the port? If so it's normally a check box in the properties screen for the LAN connection itself. If in Windows XP try control panel, network connections, right click the LAN connection icon, choose properties, remove the tick from notify me when this connection has limited or no connection.

Re: Setting up ... Confused

I meant that the internet wasn't working on the pc, I just worded it badly.

Sorted it now though

Thanks for the interest anyway

Re: Setting up ... Confused

You might want to note that the Sky routers have 4 ethernet ports. Ignore what it says in the manual, it is incorrect.
