      Wonky wireless?

      Hello folks

I have had my Sky BB working fine since signing up a few months ago. I also setup my sons Wii through wireless and it was fine, I then added a PC which sends very small amounts of date to a shipping website 24/7, all was working 100%. A few days a ago I noticed my wireless PC was not sending data and I could not connect via VNC, I had to reboot for it to work again and this went on for a few days, I have now hard wired it to the router and my son took the Belkin wireless dongle, it works for him but has been disconnection and reconnecting very often, he is getting 4 bars out of 5 in the next room to were the router is, the shipping PC had the wireless dongle right nect to the router so I am assuming it is not a signal problem. Can you suggest how to test what is the wireless problem, is it the router or the Belkin wireless dongle?

      cheers

You might try changing the WiFi channel used by the router. Just enter 192.168.0.1 and chose a different channel. Try 1,6,10 and see what happens.

Thanks, already tried that, it was on 11 as this one worked for the Wii better, tried quite a few with no difference at all, the Wii will not work on the old channel 11 I have just found out and it was fine a month or so!

      cheers

      Re: Wonky wireless?

Can anyone advise me how to check both wireless components as I am sure one is faulty, all was fine for weeks then there is connection problems, how do I test the router and dongle for faults?
