Recently got my Sky broadband connected, it works fine with the Ethernet cable plugged in on my desk top and Laptop. I have set the wireless up and it says status connected but im unable to access the internet, the signal is very strong so thats not the problem i know the wireless adapter works fine as it works on different modems, i have the new Sagem wireless modem if thats any help.
Im really stumped by this, if anyone can help i would really appreciate it.

When you put the Key in did you use all capital letters, no numbers, no lower case letters?

      Re: Wireless Problems

To rule out a security problem, try disabling the security on the router. Not very likely but try turning off your firewall. What OS are you using?

You might also like to try giving the Wireless adapter a fixed IP. To do this, enter it's Properties, highlight Internet Protocol TCP/IP, click the properties button, then select 'Use this IP Address' and put in-
      192.168.0.10
      255.255.255.0
      192.168.0.1

Use these OpenDNS addresses in the Server spaces.
      208.67.222.222
      208.67.220.220

      Re: Wireless Problems

      Juan Carlos,

it sounds like i'm having the same wireless issues (i'm using vista ultimate 64bit), have you had any luck resolving them?

I can see/find my network but cannot connect, i believe i have all the latest drivers etc... i rang sky to ask if they knew of any known issues and they told me that sky broadband doesn't support vista 64bit and thats what the problem is (?????) i don't think that this is correct!

      can anyone help?

      Thanks.

      Re: Wireless Problems

Hi, I had this recently with a router of mine. I'm not sure if sky routers let you change the wireless channel, if so try changing that and connecting again, it could be something interfering.
