      Apple Sky and recent changes

Hello, all was well for 4 months till the recent outage this week. Now I can get ethernet connection but no wireless. (There have been no changes at my end). I see my wireless network but can get no connection to the internet or the router wirelessly. Have done all the usual resets/restarts and deletion of prefs. This problem affects both my Macs the same. Anyone had similar problems or can help? The wireless network settings are 10.0.1.3 and router of 10.0.1.1 as is DNS. Is this correct? As I say ethernet connectivity is fine. Thanks to anyone!!

Re: Apple Sky and recent changes

thanks so much for answer. in the last 30 mins I got 5 mins where these setings were applied to my mac automatically and wirelessly. They have now "gone" again and I am back to the 10.1.0 ones. The intermittent bit is the worst.

Could you confirm the security settings please? Are they WPA2 ?
      Thanks

10.0.1.x seems to be an Apple Airport type connection. Sky Routers are as above (ie 192.168.0.x and submask 255.255.255.0). Have you some old wifi connections hidden on your machines?

Re: Apple Sky and recent changes

Try changing the Routers WiFi Channel. It's probably default at Ch 6. Try Ch 1 and Ch10 to see if it's an improvement.

WPA-PSK is the correct WiFi encryption.
