Re: Is There Anyway Of Testing

Start by pinging the router: Start - Run - ping 192.168.0.1. You should see a Window open with 3 or 4 lines beginning "Reply from 192.168.0.1..."

If this doesn't work then look at the Network settings in your PC as you are not connecting with the router.

Then try ping bbc.co.uk. Same again, you should get a screen showing "Reply from 212.58.224.131..." If this fails then you do not have a connection with the internet. If it succeeds and you still cannot open web pages then it is a DNS issue. Try setting your PC to use OpenDNS.

      Hope this helps for starters.

Click the OpenDNS link in my post above - it takes you to their instruction page. Put the settings in your PC not the router.

Re: Is There Anyway Of Testing

Are you sure you have entered the details correctly? If you have, when you visit the OpenDNS page again you should see a note at the top telling you you are using OpenDNS.

I don't know if it can be done yet on the New routers, but on the 834GT, have a look at THIS thread, post #20, if you want to set it up in the router. The instructions given on OpenDNS for the router, do not work with Sky firmware.

Log in to OpenDNS to check that you are set up properly. You will be told if you are using OpenDNS. Post back if you are still having problems.
