    Help! Thinking of leaving Sky.

      As a matter of interest, what settings did you change using the TCPopitmiser? It should not be necessary in Vista and you may have done more harm than good. Did you save the old settings?

      The fact that you are maintaining a Local connection means that it is your internet connection that is dropping. Is the router plugged directly into the Master socket? If it is, try it in the Test socket, which if you have one, is behind the Master socket faceplate. Remove the 2 screws and ease it off, to reveal the Test, or Engineers socket as it is sometimes called. Any extensions you have will be cut off when you remove the faceplate.

      Do you have filters fitted to everything connected to the phone line, including digi-boxes?
