      Red face DG834 + 2 WG602 Set Up

Please could anyone help with this problem.

I have a desktop pc running xp connected to the dg834. I had a wireless network running ok but with a limited range. To improve the range so my daughters vista laptop could get a stable connection I purchased 2 wg602 wireless
extenders. As I understand you need one plugged into the dg834 by ethernet
cable and you can just plug one in to a socket in the place where you want an improved signal. This will then pick up the signal and repeat it on at 100%.
I set up both wg602 first by plugging them directly into the dg834 to copy over ssid, channel numbers, wep keys etc.
When I scan for wireless networks on the laptop it picks up 3 networks
all with the same name, channel and security etc. I can connect onto the dg834 network ok at 40-50% signal with local and internet access. I can connect to the hard wired wg602 with 40-50% with local and internet access. If I log onto the wireless wg602, in the same room as the lap top, I get 100% signal
but only local access. My hunch is that the wireless wg602 is not sending or receiving data from the other wg602!

I have set both wg602s in repeater mode and put the mac address of the dg834 as the remote mac address

Phew! Sorry about the long post!

      Phil

Have a look at this link which seems to cover it although it uses a WG302 as well.
