      new router issues

      hi, i just brought a belkin wireless router as the netgear one supplied was not working very well on my desktop upstairs. i can not get this router on the internet. i need my username and password as i belive thats the wrong info im given.tried everything and fed up with speaking to sky and belkin about this

      Can i ask why you didnt ask for a replacement router. My understanding is that Sky give them out quiet easily.

      i live in a big house with thick walls. i spoke to pc world and they said this would affect connection. the box sky give out is basic and i want the best

      Think its fair to say that Sky will obviously not support you using any other form of router apart from their own. You can use another router but it does infringe Skys terms and conditions. If you decide to go along that route(no pun intended) The user name is Admin and password is Sky

      ive tried using admin and sky as the username and password.im a real novice and obviously u guys know what your talking about. could u give me step by step instructions on how to get my belkin router working cos im totally confused??

      If you are inside the belkin router settings then it needs the user name and password that you extracted from the sky router. Logging into the Belkin router will require the user name and password that will be in the Belkin manual.

      the username and password i extraced using the asinine monkey site from the link in one of the previous threads was a bunch of srammbled numbers and letters. does this sound right?
