      Wireless

Ok, any help would be apprciated.

I had to re format my laptop last night, and now I cannot connect via wireless.
I have installed the driver for my buffalo USB wireless gizmo and it searches for a connection, finds one, connects and immediate disconnects.
      Again.
      And again.
      And again.
      Rinse and repeat.

      Any advice?

I am desperate as I am connected via a wire and cramped into a corner.

      Re: Wireless

There are lots of people with the same disconnecting issue!

I've managed to get it working by switching-off the WPA-PSK from the "wireless settings" page of the router menu. If it works, you might want to change the SSID name and then stop the broadcasts to help with security. It's far from perfect as you lose all of your security, but at least it stops the disconnections.

      Re: Wireless

As an alternative to this, try switching your security to WEP rather than WPA-PSK.

Some friends of mine has issues with their wireless sometimes not being able to connect on their computer. Switching to WEP sorted this so it may work for you.
