      unable to connect to preferred wireless network

      Now getting the message' unable to connect to preferred wireless network'. Have not been able to go wireless sinec receiving router last week, the initila message was 'limited connectivity'.

      Any assistance would be appreciated.

      As I have no details of what you have/have not setup so appologies if the following is fairly obvious. Can I assume you have configured the correct SSID (skyxxxxx - on base of router) and entered the WPA-personal WEP key (also on back of router) into you laptop wifi configuration??
