Try uninstalling and reinstalling the software. It worked for me. I am assuming that you entered the appropriate WPA key.

If you can download the latest software from the netgear support site, so much the better.

I solved the problem with two sky friends.
Just uninstall sky broadband and the internet will work.

Quite simple, I went to control panel and uninstalled sky broadband and hey presto the router worked.
He did not have mcafee on the computer.
Is there a time limit to answer threads?

Re: Netgear WG111T - Limited Connectivity

      Hello folks,

By the looks of i you have also installed the " Netgear Smart Wizard "
This on its own can cause bother,

If i was you i would remove the software & install just the drivers ! .

To do this start the uninstall but at the end where it says you can now remove the adapter from your pc dont ,
Keep it in the system and reboot ( keeping the netgear cd in the drive ) ,
When your system starts you will get found new hardware ,
From here just point it to the cd driver to install the drivers only .

      See how that goes .

Answering a thread that has been inactive for 12 months is a waste of effort, if the issue was still ongoing the original poster would keep the thread live. The sky BB cd does very little apart from install mcafee and update IE to IE 7 if needed so unless you were using the SkyBB icon on your desktop and that was broken (it's just a hyperlink shortcut pointing to a website) removing what you removed would make little diference overall. If the shortcut on desktop was broken then deleting it and just launching IE as normal from it's own icon would do the same thing. If however the IE7 upgrader on the CD went wrong then the only serious option at that point would be a removal of the update (or system restore to before it was applied) and a download and installation of IE7 from the MS site.

Maybe worth seeing if the site owners can delete older posts from the forums, or close them.

This is the 2nd thread that has not had a response to in over a year responded to in the last day or so
