      Re: Disconnecting problems?

Disconnections have a number of causes. Starting with the most common one first, turn off UPnP. If that doesn't fix the problem then there are a few tests you'll need to run but let's worry about that later if we need to.

      Re: Disconnecting problems?

      Mognut’s Utility
Go to the utility web site: Sky Netgear DG834GT utility version 0.4.
Click the “Get” detailed modem stats button and click “OK”.
Enter the router login user name and password.
At the next screen, click the back button on your browser.
      Click the “Download” netgear.cfg button.
What you do next depends on your operating system. On Windows XP, click the “Save” button to save the file to your hard disk. (If you click “Open”, you may find that the file association is one that doesn’t handle carriage returns the same way as the router, hence the reason for saying “Save”.)
Open the file in WordPad (not notepad).

      cut and paste results here

      Re: Disconnecting problems?

are you using the master socket to connect your router or an extention ?

if you are using the master socket, could you use the test socket by taking off the face plate (2 screws on front, bottom half of plate should come away)

you do have some CRC Errors and ES errors which should both be a close to zero as poss (i think level should be no more than 1% of SF)

most times extention leads or wiring will create noise and cause errors, testing from the master socket will let you know if your wirring is tio blame for extra noise
