      router issue or internet connection

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me

Since Saturday my internet connection keeps dropping out, but even when I get
'page not displayed' from my browser I also cant ping the internal ip address of the router iswell. When I type in 192.168.0.1 nothing happens.

When I reboot the router the router starts pinging but then after a few minutes its gone again.

I have tired a different microfiler and even tried 2 different laptops plugged in to the router but still same thing.

Phoned Sky up told them all this he just told me to try the master plug socket and get back to them.

Try turning off uPNP on the front page of the router menu.

Re: router issue or interent connection

How are you trying to connect wired or wireless? What OS are you using? are you saying your Internet disconnects or your PC disconnects from the router?

Re: router issue or interent connection

      Its a wired connection.
PC or router doesnt turn off.
When I turn the pc and router on from the power the internet is working fine and I can ping the local ip address of the router (192.168.0.1) but after 10 minutes the internet drops out. But also found I cant even ping the local ip adress when this happens. The pc and router are both on at this time

Have you tried turning UPnP off?

      http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/view-routerstats.html

Towards the bottom of that page, tells you how to.
