Hey guys, I'm a bit new to the whole wireless thing.
I recently switched to Sky bb. I can connect to the internet fine on my PC but I'm having trouble connecting wirelessly to my laptop. I've had a teachnician look at it and he discovered that the wireless card wasn't working so he installed a new one but it still wont connect.
Does anyone have any advice regarding this?

Re: Connection problem
Using the PC disable wireless security in the router (see tutorials on setting up for how to address router's user interface).
If your laptop's wireless adapter has a scan or site survey utility, see if it can detect the Sky router (or download NetStumbler from a shareware site). Hopefully you will then be able to connect.
Later reapply encryption to the router but note down the HEX keys produced by the passphrase and apply them to the laptop adapter's WPA security settings instead of the passphrase.
Other issues that affect wireless: range (troubleshoot with computer and router in same room) interference (cordless phones -- and look out for neighbouring wireless networks and choose a channel 6 stops away)
