      Wireless light off - Out of nowhere!

      Hiya everybody.

      I've been a Sky broadband user now for several grueling months. I've dealt with their weak customer service, their randomly connection-dropping ethernet line, and the abysmol wireless - all because of the fact that the connection is good and value for money - when it works!

      However, about five nights ago, I noticed that the wireless light on my Netgear router simply was not on, after trying to connect wirelessly for the evening. I have reset the box about fifty times, I have called customer service, but I get nothing solid but a ticket to wait, and advice on how to reset the box. So, I am at a loss. I operate from a laptop, so sitting next to the box to remain connected is becoming a bit of a hardship.

      Any help would be vastly appreciated.

      tbh It sounds like your router has given up on the old wireless front.

      You could try using this, explaining that you have reset the box and could they possibly send you another one.

      That's what I think, too. But the five star customer service tells me it's my laptop manufacturer I should be contacting.

      You are going to have to try and speak to someone that understands that you have reset the router, and hope that they can raise the relevant paperwork to swap it out for you.

      Try that form I posted, as that is supposedly designed to make your message get to the right department.

      The light should be on with or without your laptop anywhere near it, if enabled within the router.

      Sky really need to sort out their customer service; it is ridiculous.
