      Hi JanetG- I have made some changes and things seem to be working... well they have been for the last 3 evenings. Here is where I found the answer: Wireless issues with Intel/Pro Wireless 2200BG - Page 54 - Notebook Forums and Laptop Discussion
      See the message from Noury_Goujjane- I did the first 2 points and tried it and it seems to be working great.

      Hello Vp143

      Thanks again for your suggestions and I will give them a go. I've tried most things posted on Skyuser for this problem, changinging channels, zero configuration and when I changed WPA to WEP my computer wouldn't accept the new 28 bit encryption code. Kept reverting back to the original WPA. Sky just keep repeating themselves saying I need to buy their adapter at 50 but I would still like to persevere with my Intel Pro chip because I think this is the problem so will try again with it.

      Glad you got yours sorted and will let you know what happens.
