      limited internet connection on 2nd pc

      hey, im having problem with the wireless on a second pc, eventually when it connects i am displayed with the message "there is limited connectivity" and thus websites do not load...

      now, i've turned upnp off and also added the mac address of the second pc's adapter to the access list...

      any suggestions?

      Is the first computer wirelessed successfully ?

      Setting a MAC ID access list for connected computers isn't a way of ensuring that a machine connects, it's actually a means of preventing other machines from connecting.

      When troubleshooting wireless, see if you can connect the problem machine to the router via an ethernet cable. Turn off encryption and security measures temporarily (including Windows firewall). If poss move the computer and router to the same room to eliminate range issues. Do a scan of neighbouring wireless networks and, if necessary, change to a frequency 6 channels away from the neighbour. Turn off/relocate cordless phone base, videosender etc.
