Setting Up Home Network - 2nd Query

      Hello ! All Network Guru's,

I am trying to network 3 computers at home. The basic format is this.

Phone jack > ADSL filter [ one port for telephone and the other for Sky Router] > Netgear DG834GT Broadband Router [has 4 ports and a wireless antenna] > 3 Computers [ 1 wired laptop, 1 wireless laptop, 1 wired desktop]

      OS of the computers :

      Wired Laptop : XP Professional
      Wireless Laptop : XP Home
      Wired Desktop : XP Home

Now I need to network them... to share folders and a printer. The internet works fine in all the 3 computers.

So far I have put them under the same work group [OCTOPUS], tried pinging but it still doesnt work...

Have you got a firewall enabled at all?

Also check in your router under attached devices, are they all showing in there?

Try pinging each IP that you see and see if that works.
