    dns server?

    This is a discussion on dns server? within the Wireless / Adapters forums, part of the Sky Broadband help category; why do i loose my dns server? i have my pc pluged into the first usb on the net gear ...

      dns server?

      why do i loose my dns server?
      i have my pc pluged into the first usb on the net gear does this matter or will this affect it?

      when i turn pc on the netgear freezes then i when try to start msn thats what it comes up with no dns errer sorry.how can i stop netgear from freezing

      well u just say the netgear froze ?? the router or an adapter ??/ does the internet still work e.g can u browse sites

      Is your router getting very hot? Trying standing it upright on the feet provided as this helps heat dissipation. Also try turning uPNP off if you haven't already.

      yes it does get hot what does upnp do

      Attempts to automatically route external traffic to the appropriate internal IP and port, attempts being the operative word. Turn it off and see if it helps, doddle to turn back on if not.

      ive just got back on the pc was locked down ,bloody idiot i am ,ive done what as been said so i'll see what its like thank you
