I get up to St Helens twice a week, well Haydock to be precise, and I even get connection problems on my 3G datacard when I'm there. Do you reckon I could blame Sky for that? It may get me a couple of months free viewing

I have a similar mac code that had to be manually put thought to BT openreach. Awaiting activation date. Hopefully it should work

They called up 2 days after them putting it through manually and said its gone through without any issues.

      Good news....

I have just put the phone down from Steve, (in charge of Sky Broadband Products), my broadband order has been resubmitted this morning and they are just awaiting the confirmation from BT.

My router should be here in 3 - 5 days and my connection within 10 days or so.

It is apparant from my postings on here, that there is further training needed for certain areas of their communication, this was conceeded.

Whilst I do not want any member of staff at Sky to get into trouble over my particular episode. I think the issues that I have highlighted in this thread alone, have been duly noted by Sky and hopefully for other people suffering, will see some improvement in communication.

I have told Steve that Sky are more than welcome to post on here, to ask for feedback etc and that if between SkyUser and Sky, we can help each other and their customers out, we have achieved what we set this site up to do.

I do sympathise with those with other problems, ie Tie Pairs, faulty exchanges etc, but rest assured we have told Sky our concerns and have asked that Sky could maybe get a little bit more involved on here. The end result should be better communication, and people left in the dark, enlightened.

I am amazed that my thread has become so long, and if you have read the full thread, I apologise for taking up so much of your time

BTW My missus is happy now, as we have uncancelled our Sky TV and she can watch all her normal programs (I got a right telling off)

I suppose the moral of this thread, is that when things are running smoothly Sky Broadband is great, but when something starts to go wrong, it does so, horribly.

I have been assured that Sky have taken everything onboard in this thread, and will strive to improve their service for everyone, not just me.

Pipex were due to take a payment yesterday, but they never tried. I checked on the control panel and my account looks like they have successfully closed it down and have suspended invoicing.

I will keep an eye on my account for the next few days, but all seems well at the moment.
