Well they've fixed my upload speed, but not my download speed

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8096 kbps 768 kbps
Line Attenuation 43.0 db 26.0 db
Noise Margin 9.8 db 14.0 db

Upload speed tests report 648 (speedtest.net) so I can finally get uploading some stuff!

Also, my noise margin seems to have gone up, at this time of the day it'd usually be around 7-8.

      Fixed here as well

Checked again this evening, don't know when it happened. It could have been early afternoon because Xbox Live had stopped working.

      SNR (dB): 7.0 9.0
      Attn(dB): 63.0 31.5
      Pwr(dBm): 16.4 12.5
      Max(Kbps): 2272 928
      Rate (Kbps): 1984 768

Have my excuses for poor perfomance on PES6 and Gears of War gone.

How does it benefit online gaming

Didn't contact Sky at all and my upstream is now at 768.

Still not sure if my downstream stats are right for a supposed Max connection though:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 7616 kbps 768 kbps
Line Attenuation 40.0 db 24.0 db
Noise Margin 6.4 db 13.0 db

Someone may well be listening at Sky. My connection dropped this afternoon (according to the modem log) and reconnected with 768 kbps upstream. The downstream noise is a bit poor, but it's usually low in the evening and rises to above 10db during the day. According to the speed test at speedtest.net, Iím getting about 7000 kbps download and 640 kbps upload. My current stats are below:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8096 kbps 768 kbps
Line Attenuation 37.0 db 21.5 db
Noise Margin 5.9 db 13.0 db

Only just seen this thread, and my upload is 768 whereas after my initial connection on Monday I was on 416. My connection dropped for some reason at some point late this afternoon, and when it reconnected it was at 768.

      Modulation: G.992.1 Annex
      Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 416 / 7,136
      Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [MB/MB]: 199.69 / 611.98
      Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 0.5 / 19.5
      Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 26.5 / 43.0
      SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 14.0 / 3.5

Using my speedtouch 585v6 router as it gives better line stats and enables a faster connection. (I have tweaked my snr to be at that level although on adsl max it was stable at 1,5db!)

Looking at my modulation would suggest I am still on normal adsl and not adsl2

I have only been on sky max for a week, i do notice that the connection speed can vary considerably from day to day. I am about half mile from the exchange.
