      Seasonal Greetings...

A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
from Ged, Glenn and all the staff at SkyUser for 2014.

We hope that you have a wonderful time over the next couple of weeks.

For those who are celebrating the Christmas period, have a great time and I hope that Santa brings you some wonderful presents.

Of course we have the New year to ring in next week. May 2015 be a time of great joy and prosperous for you all.

2015 promises to be a good year for Sky Customers. There are several developments which should bear fruit.

Earlier this year we mentioned that Sky, TalkTalk and CityFibre had teamed together to start rolling out an FTTP based product in the York area and some other cities across the UK. Trials should start in Basingstoke for Sky's own FTTP network and there are several other things happening behind the scenes at Sky which we would love to let you know about. We will in due course.

Both Sky and the BBC teamed together to work on launching 4K UHD TV Broadcasts. Sky have been working on this for some time now. As more and more people are now buying 4K TVs, we should hopefully see something launched during 2015 to fill the gap. Will the product be Internet led or via the Satellite? Perhaps it will be a blend, but at this stage I don't believe that a terrestrial solution will be suitable.

Over the past few years the Sky+ HD and SkyHD EPG has changed hugely. I am sure that the EPG Development team will remain very busy and come up with a few more changes that will grow on you in a positive way. For those of you who haven't already done so, please do connect your SkyHD and Sky+ HD STBs to your home network.

The Sky Movies app recently had an update and now works with Android 5 (aka Lolipop). Currently the Sky Go app is being polished, but an early version is available specifically for those with Android 5.

NowTV is going from strength to strength. It is now available on a variety of different platforms, with Windows 8 being the most recently added.

With the acquisition of Sky Deutschland and Sky Italia, I am sure that we will start to see some new things during 2015 as a direct result. They may not be earth shattering at first but I strongly suspect that there will be something happening.

Sky as always like to keep many things close to their chest for fear that the competition will copy them and launch something sooner. So let's see what 2015 brings shall we

      Re: Seasonal Greetings...

Should we say "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" or "Seasons greetings" in Australia if we want to greet a person in Australia?

I would like to send a Greeting card for my colleague in Australia. What should I mentioned in greeting card? "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" or "Seasons greetings"
