Activity Stream

What is it?

As per vB - The Activity Stream is one of the newest and most visible features we’ve added to the vBulletin 4.2.0 release. It’s included in all core installs and is accessible in the “What’s New?” tab. The Activity Stream is exactly what it sounds like, a stream of the latest activities on your site from your users. This can include everything from replies to threads, to articles, to blogs and even newly loaded photos.

It gives you and your users a quick overview of what’s been going on while you’ve been logged out. You get instant access to the things that are important to you without you having to go through and search for them.

Both you and your users can control what the Activity Stream displays in the front end using a filter.

How does it work?

You can do reach this one of 3 ways.

1) By clicking on Forum or What's New? and then selecting the link just under the navbar to the left. Then clicking on Activity Stream.





Which will then take you to this page.



2) By viewing your own member profile. To do this click on the My Profile tab at the top right hand side.



You can then choose different options etc



3) By visiting the Activity Stream page directly.

Double Post Merge

This is experimental at the moment, with a lifespan of 5 minutes from your last post. We realise that we may need to reduce / lengthen this if proven to be a hindrance.

Basically, what will happen is when you start a new thread and then add a new post within the lifespan period, then the forum will automatically merge the 2 posts etc

eg

New style Log in box at the top right of forums.

To log in, click the Log in or Sign up tab



Add your username and password and then click Log in.

Mobile Phone Skin (as well as existing Tapatalk and Forumrunner support)

To access this, scroll down the page, and at the bottom there is a skin chooser.



Select Default Mobile Style



And you should then see this.
