SkyUser SMTP Server Revision To The Terms And Conditions Of Use

Over the last few weeks, we have been subject to outages on our SMTP service.

We initially thought that an update to the server overnight had been the culprit.

However, on closer inspection, it was apparent that the outages were due to a few select members, running an exchange server from home, and then relaying through our service.

We appreciate that some people know how to set these up properly, and 99.9% of the time, there are no issues with you doing so. But, it is crystal clear that by us allowing people to use our service for this purpose, is no longer worth our while, as when things go wrong, everyone who uses our SMTP service, suffers.

The amount of work and time, today's episode, has cost myself is just plain stupid. As well as the inconvenience to our members who also use our SMTP service legitimately. Therefore, we are updating our Terms and Conditions of use, with immediate effect.

Anyone who uses our SMTP service prior to this date and time, can continue to do so, as you have proven to us, that you already know how to configure it correctly.

New Terms And Conditions as from 16/02/2012
