      New features

There are many new features that will hopefully prove to be useful in time.

For example, if you copy & paste the router stats, an automatic table will be created.

Including images from sources across the web should be a little simpler too. If you like, try it in this thread: Thread to mess about in... (of course ensure that copyright isn't breached please).

The sidebar on the left can be minimised, but this will be expanded upon, so you may wish to leave it visible. Previously links to sites such as Copy+ were on the left. The will appear once more. Other new features will also appear as things get tided up.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

      Another new feature

This modification adds an extra menu on the navbar which allows your members to search for their own posts or threads they started. When browsing a forum there are additional links to view your threads or posts from that forum only, if you not in a forum, the extra links do not appear.

I'll 2nd this, because although its great that you have done all this hard work - it a bit bright

Too much white is hard on these old eyes and a paler background would be better.

Once we get this one as we want it, there is nothing to stop us from saving it, and then changing the values on it to make a different (selectable) one from that. To do so now would be just stupid as it is changing daily.

I am quite prepared to listen to feedback and try and please everyone, but to completely commission a new skin, is in the region of $500

      Re: New features

Another new feature added for eveyone's benefit.

A new Anti Spam plugin, that should help cut down spammers registering and then posting on the forums.

Spam-O-Matic 2.0 is a spam firewall for your vBulletin Forums version 4.x and later. It prevents known spammers from registering on your forums. If they can't register, they can't spam! This data comes from the stopforumspam.com spammer database.

It also does a ton of other cool stuff like moderating posts automatically if the post is found in the Akismet database, or if it contains words on your "Bad Words" keyword list.
If anyone has any issues registering and you are a genuine member, then please feel free to use the contact us page.

      Re: New features

In an effort to combat spammers, we have installed a fair few mods over the last few days.

Most spammers signup and then add URLs to their profiles etc in the hope that the search engines will give them a link back to their websites etc

99.9% of our members are normally genuine members, registering to ask for help and so on, and do not sign up, just so they can add a link to their website in their user profile.

As from today, any member who has less than 10 posts, cannot add a URL to their user profile. This should make it completely pointless for any spammers to sign up and then add a URL to their profile.
