We can definitely sort some games out for hosting, plenty of space and plenty of power, and shed loads of bandwidth to play with now.

      Hi guys,

Yes, very happy to help test - I'm online most mornings and evenings in particular, and often late at night - do you want a PM to confirm this?

      All the best,

      Cheers

      Hi

No - It's fine for now, you should already be able to see the extra forum anyway?

      Re: We're On The Move!

      Update time.

All of the games etc that we had backed up on the old server have now been moved across. No idea when we will get these set backup and running though.

SkyUser Radio software, database and all of the music has also been transferred across and after a lot of messing around is nearly back up and running. Although for now it is broadcasting from the old server. We will swap the servers over once it has been running etc for 24 / 48 hours or so without any problems.

The SkyUser SMTP server data has also been transferred across, although has so far, not been setup.

I will continue to try and configure that today, and we may possibly transfer it over to the new server over the weekend sometime, but this is to be confirmed.

We are currently having the forum skin redone to work with the new version of forum software, hopefully this should be finished over the weekend.

Once we have been given a duplicate licence key for the webserving software that we use, we can then proceed to configure the new webserver, whilst the current one remains in situ.

As we backup and transfer the data off the current, to the new server, we will then bring the other websites online first. Once these are done, we will then begin beta testing the new SkyUser software.

Once we are happy with that, we can then backup and transfer SkyUser to the new server.

      Re: We're On The Move!

Well the SMTP part of it was quite easy. It is all setup on the new server now, ready to go live. And it has sent my test emails no problems.

I need to get some advice from the hosts re putting this live, as the new server has a new IP and rather than mess about with Domain Records etc (and the SkyUser Radio links would need to be changed) I think it would be easier if they just swapped the IP's around etc

I will update later today hopefully.

Great. Looking forward to being a part of this once the moving servers and upgrading VB bit is sorted.

      Re: We're On The Move!

The SMTP service and SkyUser Radio has now been migrated to the new SMTP server.

If anyone has any issues with the SMTP service, please let us know in this thread.
