      Forums Upgrade

      At some point this evening, we need to upgrade the forum software that we use.

      The forums should be offline for no more than 5 / 10 minutes and you may notice a slowdown as we back the data up so as to reverse any changes etc if needed.

      Re: Forums Upgrade

      I am going to take advantage of the low member count and also upgrade another piece of software that we use.

      The site may go offline for a few seconds as we restart services once installed.

      We upgraded 2 pieces of software that we use, one of them being the forum software.
      I thought I had already put that above?

      If you are seriously interested we upgraded;

      1) vBulletin to combat a vulnerability
      2) Upgraded the rewrite software that we use, server side to the latest version

      And finally, although I never announced, we patched another file that could potentially be vulnerable, but only needed 2 characters of the text changing, so was none intrusive to the website's operations.
