October Competition - Win the cost of a HD Box

As some of you may know, Sky are doing a promotion for existing and new customers to buy a Sky HD box for £75. (excluding fitting - cost of which varies - more info here)

As a competition prize for our members for October, what better, than a prize of £75 Cash to cover the cost of you getting a Sky+ HD box?

By offering a cash prize, if you have just bought a HD box, or are thinking of buying one, every one gets a fair chance at recovering their costs. This competition starts 30th September and will finish on Tuesday 28th October, so as we can get the prize to the winner before the offer from Sky finishes on 31st October.

How to enter

1) You must be a member of SkyUser to post your entry in this thread - if not already, you can sign up here.

2) Contribute to SkyUser with a minimum of 10 none spammy posts during the month of October 2008 - These cannot be posts, like 'hello' or 'blah blah blah' - Genuine posts, including asking for help or helping others are welcome.

3) Live in the UK.

4) You do not have to be on or with Sky, as long as your minimum of 10 posts are genuine, then they would be classed as a valid entry.

5) You do not get any extra entries for doing more than 10 posts, ie if you do 100 useful posts, you do not get 10 entries.

6) Only the SkyUser Admins are excluded from entering this competition.

7) Please add a post to this thread, once you have achieved your minimum of 10 genuine posts, so that we have a record of your forum username.

On 28th October we will draw a winner from the list of names posted in this thread.

Any other clarifications needed, please post here and we will answer asap.

I've got 10+ so put me in. Hopefully I will not be No 13 this time

Glad to see you have simplified it by making it 10 post and excluding the 'useful or helpful'. I think that put a lot off.

Re: October Competition - Win the cost of a HD Box

Sky+ HD with the right TV is magic.
You need to watch it on a large screen with 1080 resolution to
see HD at its best.
Looking at HD in store is not the best way to decide whether to get it.
The store lighting and source material is often not good.
And the individual set up of the picture is often poor in store.
See what users say in the HD forum instead.
Also google the TV set you like to find better deals and reviews on-line.
For safety, always pay with a credit card when shopping on-line
but make sure you pay it off before the end of the month.
