Same reasons, as long as the BT image showed?

      Re: New Beta Speedtester Page

I'm still running Windows 98SE 800x600.When I run the speed tester on the link from the first page the Download part works OK but then I get a pause and an error message box.
      Adobe Flash Player 9.
'A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 9 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive.Do you want to abort the script?'
'Yes' causes the tester to fail.'No' and after a pause it carries on.
Not sure if it is related but when the box comes up with the ISP and select your package the bit 'behind' the speed tester box doesn't show through.

      A query.
I sync at 2047Kbps and the download has just tested as 1720Kbps.
The download average for Base shows as 2048.33 Kbs.How can that be --there is no margin for overheads?
Or do some Base customers have a sync speed above 2048?

      Thanks

We are dependent on people choosing the right package upon completion. If someone on Max chose Base for example it could skew the results.

      I'm still running Windows 98SE 800x600.
Without wishing to be negative or rude, Windows 98 is totally unsupported, as well as being out of date. Therefore, there is absolutely nothing that I know of to rectify this issue for you. Maybe try updating Adobe or your browser?

Just looking at the stats for Win98, since 1st January 2008 - these are the total visits and page views,

      Windows 98 | 24,798 Page Views | 4,950 Visits

However I will ask the developer if he has any known fixes for you.

This I would assume is the data been collated and inserted into the db and then presenting the results.

      1) Labelling the "Your package" in a clearer way so that it showed that it was not their results.

      e.g. Average < ENTER PACKAGE NAME> Stats
Now reads: Average statistics for your current package

      2) Making the current data in your paragraph at the top of the page Bold. (i.e. the download and upload figure).
      Should be done very soon.

      3) Possibly rewording the paragraph to include "current" before downlaod and upload to show that this has just been obtained.
      Done.

I know I am being picky but you are doing a grand job!

We are testing out the ability to show the results as an image, so you can use them in signatures etc

This is the prototype image, however if anyone wishes to design one feel free, the sizes are 300 x 100

Some minor changes added, and a few more ISP packages, feel free to feedback.

Looking at what you have posted here, you are on an ADSL1 product (Sky BB Connect). Rather than discuss everything here, I'll let the answers continue in that thread.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
