      SkyUser Nominated Charity

We have decided to accept donations for our Nominated Charity, Great North Air Ambulance Service, for those who may wish to say thank you for using this website.

From day one, we have always said that we will not charge members or visitors for using our website. As of today 18 months later, this still stands.

We do get various requests to donate to our website as a Thank You from those who have found the answers they were looking for. After discussions we have decided to nominate a Charity every six months, whereby if you do wish to donate to us, you can now donate to our Nominated Charity.

Kicking us off the first six months, we have nominated The Great North Air Ambulance Service

A little bit about our chosen Charity:

      Great North Air Ambulance Service
Providing emergency medical cover for the North of England, North Yorkshire and Cumbria an area of approximately 5500 square miles with a population of 3.5 million people, the Great North Air Ambulance has time and time again established the need for an Air Ambulance. It is our aim to provide the best quality of care to the people of our region.
      Charity Registration No 109220

If you do wish to say Thank You to us, please feel free to click on the Links to take you straight to the SkyUser Just Giving Website. This way we do not have to administer the monies and the Charity gets your donation immediately.

      Don't feel bad

It has only been a day.

People will realise it is there and then they can choose to give or not. Even a 1 donated is a 1 more than they would get had we not started the page.

If it stays low, perhaps we could come up with a few fun fundraising events or something? Who knows. Just give it time and see where things lead!

      @TheWhizz

      Unfortunately not. I accepts:
      Visa Credit Card
Visa Debit Card (or Visa Delta)
      Visa Electron Card
      MasterCard
      Switch/Maestro
      Solo
If we have sufficient demand though, I might look at setting up a paypal account for the site and putting the donations on myself in the name of the donator. I would need to talk to Ged about it first though.

      Re: SkyUser Nominated Charity

      The problem with Paypal is:

They always take a deduction when transferring the money, and all of the administration.

I'll speak to Glenn, Hugsie if people really want to pay by it.
