I only have one, but as Alan b says if I had two would keep it,as if you had a spare one and had a fiver refund to your account when the only one you had broke it would cost you more that a fiver in phone calls to get a new one sent out

BT charge Sky about 40 for each connection, regardless of whether it was an IPstream connection or an LLU connection. Your setup fee doesn't even cover BT's charges, so I don't have much sympathy for the view that you've paid for the router, so you should be able to choose which one you get.

That said, one of the main reasons for having two different routers, with different chipsets, was that if one type of router didn't work well on a customer's line, they could send them the other type and see if that was any better. Nice idea, but since Customer Service agents aren't able to specify which router gets sent out, it rather defeats the purpose.

James, is that right ? I was under the impression that skys llu service ran over the easynet network which sky owns.

Yes because BT change you from non LLU to LLU at the exchange. They charge any ISP for this work.

We can't ban you just for drinking Orange Cordial.
